Volunteer Workshop Mentor
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to serve as Volunteer Workshop Mentors for our mobile workshop programs. As a mentor, your primary role is to engage with youth, fostering positive relationships, and being a consistent presence. While prior experience with tools or building is not required, you will work alongside the youth on projects, learning and growing together in a collaborative environment.
Roles & Responsibilities

Youth Engagement: Build rapport with youth, encouraging their participation and confidence during workshops.

Project Collaboration: Work side-by-side with students on hands-on building projects, offering guidance and support as needed.

Mentorship: Act as a positive role model, listening to and encouraging youth to overcome challenges.

Teamwork: Collaborate with other mentors, facilitators, and staff to ensure workshops run smoothly.

Encourage Growth: Inspire curiosity, creativity, and a sense of accomplishment in students as they complete projects.

Support Safety: Help monitor the work environment to ensure students are following safety guidelines.

Adaptability: Be flexible and responsive to the needs of the youth and the flow of the workshop.
Commitment

One day per week for the duration of the school year.

Workshop sessions typically last 2–4 hours, with additional setup and cleanup time.

Willingness to complete a background check.
