We are looking for detail-oriented and dependable volunteers to serve as Material Preppers in their own workspace, or part of a group build event at a designated location. In this behind-the-scenes role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the success of our workshops by preparing materials according to specific dimensions and requirements. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working independently and contributing to impactful youth programs without direct student interaction.

 

Responsibilities

• Pick-up Material: Retrieve materials (typically from Storage Facility in St. Michael)

• Material Preparation: Cut and prepare large quantities of materials to specified dimensions using provided instructions.

• Follow Instructions: Carefully follow detailed preparation guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in materials.

• Meet Deadlines: Complete material preparation tasks within set timelines to support scheduled workshops.

• Tool Use: Safely operate tools and equipment necessary for material preparation.

• Organization: Sort, label, and organize prepared materials for easy transport and use in workshops.

• Safety Awareness: Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to best practices.
